With the arrival of September, comes back one of the most loved appointments by the fans of fitness: the Bibione Beach Fitness 2011.

September, 9th, 10th and 11th the beach of Bibione welcomes one of the sporting events that close the summer season and that draws very year many people. For this year, organizers will present even some news with a renewal of the presentation of sports and especially with new activities that are taking place in the world of fitness. All this to stay fit, but with great fun!

The fitness village will have six stages set up directly on the beach of Bibione, each of which will host a different fitness class with most popular teachers. As every year the quality of teaching is very high, thanks to the enrolment of presenters of international level.

Among the novelties of this year, the Bibione Beach Fitness will present a space dedicated to the urban style dance: hip hop, ragga jam, popping-locking, dance-hall and R&B. All guided by teachers who have brought these styles of dancing, and often of life, in the limelight. Sure this new stage will welcome many fans of these styles of dancing and it will be a very good work experience for all those that wish to perfect their dance steps.

The second new concerns some sports already known and played, but that are enhanced with new methods and techniques and made more fun through the interaction and the involvement of the entire work group.

The indoor cycling becomes Group Cycling, Italian novelty, with the involvement in the class of the entire group, making it a very fun. As for the Walkexercise, there will be new exercise and routines to do on the treadmill, that is no more only a platform on which to run or to walk, but it becomes a real gym equipment that reveals all its potential. In this way classes are more active, complete and make move all muscles of the body.

Boxing gloves, punching bags and movements to the rhythm of music…it is Boxemotion! Sport that joins the techniques of boxing with aerobics sport to tone muscles, improve the rhythm, strength and breathing capacity. A new way to of boxing much loved by women.

Wednesday, August the 10th, in Bibione Lido dei Pini there will be a very special fashion show, dedicated to our furry friends who accompany us on holiday. In fact is time for the event “Four-legged on the catwalk”, the parade of a selection of the most beautiful dog breeds, that had already been proposed the last summer and also in July this year on the beach of Bibione.

Starting from 9.00 p.m. the beautiful dogs will be in the spotlight, happy and excited to be admired by all the public, children especially.

With this event, Bibione is once again a beach with a special care towards pets, that increasingly accompany tourists on holiday. Every summer, a greater number of hotels and apartments in Bibione opens the doors to dogs and pets in general, often offering the free stay.

And from the last year is active the “Spiaggia di Pluto”, a wide stretch of beach super-equipped for dogs and their masters, that won last summer the first prize as best Italian beach for four-legged.

This year, from May the 1st to September, the 30th, the “Spiaggia di Pluto” is open and already during the early months of the year it registered many reservations of beach umbrellas, ensuring in this way a place to their dogs in this beautiful beach of Bibione. Bibione withstands the crisis also this year. The beach few kilometres from Venice registered a good trend of tourists and it can be satisfied. The credit of this success is of all businessmen of Bibione, who have counted also this year on several events both new and consolidated, and on the improvement of services in the city, especially on the beach.

Bibione couldn’t miss the meeting with the women’s volley! From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th of July, the athletes of the First Division Women’s Volleyball League will meet together in the beautiful and wide beach of Bibione with Chiquita Cup Sand Volley 4×4.

After the winter indoor championship, the teams meet again on the sand of five Italian beaches to win three trophies: Shield, Italy Cup and Italian Supercup. In the Bibione Beach Arena the Shield will be the protagonist: the winner of the Master in the seaside resort will win the prestigious trophy.

Chiquita Cup takes in the different beaches a lot of fun and also the solidarity, that this year has an important role with “Jump! For life”, a marathon of jumps on trampolines against the poverty in the world.

As regards the entertainment, the women’s volleyball tournament offers a lot of fun for children and adults. At the Beach Volley School children can play volleyball twice daily with the best volleyball players as teachers. Adults can compete in amateur tournaments on the burning sand of Bibione, trying to emulate the athletes, or they can spend an intense fitness afternoon in the Village. A very peculiar fitness, the Walkexercise with mechanical and not electric treadmills. Who is tired of being under the beach umbrella, can try this new sport. The physical exercise is ensured!

The fun does not stop: music, a lot of stands rich in gadgets and good and fresh Chiquita milk shakes, but especially the evening show with the comic actors of Zelig, the famous TV programme, in the Bibione Beach Arena. Thanks to its central position, all tourists can easily reach the Arena with the public transportation from their hotels or apartaments in Bibione to enjoy both the funny evening and the volley matches during the week end.

Junior ParkVolley in Bibione

Bibione get ready for the long weekend of the 1st May with the Junior ParkVolley Trophy 2009.

The third volleyball championship for young people will take place in May, from the 1st to the 3rd, in the city tennis centre. For this occasion, the sport centre will provide a lot of volleyball fields on the grass, located few walk steps from the beach of Bibione and in the green pine wood. A perfect place to do sport.

All young volleyball players from 6 to 16 years old of schools and sports clubs can take part in this special event with their trainers and parents, that take advantage of the championship for a long beach holiday week end. Last year more than 2000 athletes took part in the volleyball trophy and with their families thronged hotels and apartments of Bibione that developed different special offers to favour the sports and beach holiday.

The Trophy joins the sport with the fun: in addition to the welcome party on Friday evening and to the closing party on Sunday, all athletes and trainers have the chance to enter in the spa with a special discount and so enjoy heated swimming pools with whirlpools, saunas and massages. During the breaks between a training and a match, children and parents can spend some time on the beach in Bibione or go shopping in the city centre and eat an ice cream.

The matches of the trophy will take place May, Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd, but the arrival in Bibione of the volleyball players is forecast for April, Thursday the 30th. In addition to the medals for the top three, is the prize also the Junior ParkVolley Trophy 2009. This trophy will be awarded to the team that will have the best placings in the last stages.

But all participants will get a very important prize: a special week end of sport, fun and holiday on the beach in Bibione.

Fireworks in Bibione

On December 31st Bibione greeted the arrival of the New Year with dinners, parties to the streets and in the discos and pubs and with a lot of toasts. In a cold night, in which dropped also some snow flakes, the seaside resort livened up as during the summer season.

The celebrations began already at 3.00 pm in the central Viale Aurora with the Children New Year’s Day, where clowns and cartoons amused the little guests until the arrival of Santa Claus with many gifts. After the rich dinners in the restaurants and in the Bibione hotels, a lot of people overflowed into the Piazza Copernico to drink a toast to the arrival of the 2009.

Thanks to the appeal of the New Year in Bibione, the beach hosted many tourists, who took advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a little holiday. On the beach of Piazzale Zenith in Bibione, Sunday the 30th of March from the 10.30 has place the Alpe Adria national Beach Motor Race 2008. 3 hours of competition that is preceded from the quad competition.

Bibione Church of Our Lady of the Assumption

In the occasion of the celebration of the fortieth of the Bibione Santa Maria Assunta parish and of the consecration of the church and its altar, has been granted a plenary indulgence the 20th of february. The Holy See has accepted the proposal to establish the Jubilee summer, with the possibility for all those who from May 10 to Sept. 14 will visit the church and participate in the liturgy, to obtain the plenary indulgence.

Evocative and touching will be the solemn celebration of the 15th August, chaired by the Bishop who will see the statue of the Virgin Mary in procession to the sea, with the blessing of those present and the sea.

Three band musics and torches of young people will accompany the procession. In the evening the fireworks wait for all people.
