The beach of Bibione offers the opportunity to organize nice trips in the nature. Just think to Valgrande and Vallesina, two fish valleys of great environmental value, where there are both native flora and fauna. This summer is even easier to know Bibione and its hinterland by bike thanks to the creation of 5 new cylce routes provided by the project “Vivilabici” (Live the bicycle). The routes are suggested both to the bike lovers and to the families and tourists that want to make an excursion and discover in quiet the most beautiful corners of the beach of Bibione.

The aim of the project is to promote and develop the region, offering the best welcome, offer and service to tourist through a trip in the wellness and silence far from the traffic. Many tourists search a quiet and relaxing holiday immersed in nature and for this reason in recent years have increased the demands of cycle lanes and paths. The beach holiday is connected to the natural holiday and Bibione meets this need thanks to its territory rich in particular flora and fauna. The five cycle routes lead cyclists to the discover of natural and landscape resources of the seaside resort and its hinterland, with the chance to stop and observe the beautiful sceneries and special places. These routes have been designed by according to different levels of difficulty, so each tourist on holiday in Bibione can go according to his rhythm on cycle paths. Along the different routes, cyclists can make a stop in a local restaurant and taste the traditional dishes of the Venetian cuisine. What better way to promote the region and its culinary goodness?

The use of the bicycle on holiday has become important already for some years in the seaside resorts, because it allows to let the car in the hotel or apartment and to reach all the areas of the city faster. With the impetus and the development of the environmental respect and the rediscovery of the nature, the bike is the eco-friendly means of transportation for excellence. For this reason several hotels began to offer free bike rental to their customer and today, not only the most part of the hotels in Bibione, but also many tourist agencies, offer this kind of service. The five routes suggested by the project “Vivilabici” are Bibione Walk along the beach front cycle path to Valgrande; the Lighthouse and the Pine Forest through the green lunge of the city; i Casoni and the country of Terzo Bacino discovering the lagoon where the silence is broken only by animal noises and from waves; Vallevecchia and Brussa site of ecological interest for nature lovers, bird watching, riding and cycling; river Tagliamento, complex path for lovers of mountain bike.

Who wishes to make one of these excursions, can request the provided guide (there are five guides, one for each route), which shows the details of the tour accompanied by pictures of the most interesting places along the route and a description of the characteristics and the degree of difficulty, as well as specific advices, detailed information and technical data. Also foreign tourists can ask for the guides: they were made also in English and German.

Thanks to these efforts, the beach of Bibione offers a style of holiday in nature, without fail the comforts present in the city and especially in its hotels, apartments and holiday villages.
