Wine and typical farm products in Bibione

On Wednesday, 9th September, on 3 p.m. in Piazzale Zenith in Bibione opens the 26th Septemberfest, the great festival of grape, wine and local farm products.

Also this year the festival is organised by ABIT, Bibione agencies association, which includes Agency Casa Mare, and it offers free to the guests of the apartments more than 100 hectolitres of white and red wine. The DOC and organic wine comes from the famous area Lison-Pramaggiore, a wine-producing region that has forged a deep friendship and collaboration with the beach of Bibione.

Septemberfest is not only a wine festival, it is also an opportunity to introduce the typical farm products from Veneto, like sardines, squids, polenta, cheeses and cakes. For this reason Septemberfest has expanded over the time, and for 4 years it offers a special space called “A sea of milk and cheese” with dairy products from Veneto. In these stands guests can taste cheese of every kind, helped in the selection and in the matching with the DOC wines of Lison-Pramaggiore from producers and hostesses.

In addition to the stands of wine and farm products, the Bibione agencies association has organised also the animation for adults and children with music and fun. Clowns and jugglers perform on the square involving the public and forchildren there is also a reserved playground.

Septemberfest ends Thursday evening with a special show: musical fireworks.

All this is of course free for the guests of the apartments in Bibione, and tourists, besides the beauty of the seaside resort, will remember with pleasure also the taste of the farm products from Veneto.

The Veneto’s regional finalists for the national beauty contest “Miss Italy 2009” will parade for the last time in Bibione, Piazzale Zenith, Friday August the 21st.

This last meeting is very important for the beautiful girls, because the winner of Miss Veneto sash will take part in the national finals in Salsomaggiore Terme, with the hope of winning the sceptre of the “Most Beautiful in Italy.”

It would be not a rare case that a girl from Veneto wins the last round of Miss Italy. In the last years, different Miss Veneto were crowned Italy’s beauty queen. The last was Silvia Battisti in 2007, crowned Miss Veneto on the beach of Bibione.
Maybe a good sign for the next winner from Veneto?

One last chance, where girls are expected to make the best of himself parading on the catwalk in Bibione. The crown of Miss Italy is not the only aim of the candidates. The hope of many of them is a career in the entertainment world, in the television, in the cinema, but also in theatre and in journalism.

Since the beginning of Miss Italy, many winners and finalists have worked in films, TV programmes and fashion, becoming famous. A name among all Sofia Loren.

The final of Miss Veneto, valid for participation in the final of Miss Italy in Salsomaggiore Terme, will take place in Piazzale Zenith in Bibione, from 21.30, Friday August the 21st.

Bibione couldn’t miss the meeting with the women’s volley! From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th of July, the athletes of the First Division Women’s Volleyball League will meet together in the beautiful and wide beach of Bibione with Chiquita Cup Sand Volley 4×4.

After the winter indoor championship, the teams meet again on the sand of five Italian beaches to win three trophies: Shield, Italy Cup and Italian Supercup. In the Bibione Beach Arena the Shield will be the protagonist: the winner of the Master in the seaside resort will win the prestigious trophy.

Chiquita Cup takes in the different beaches a lot of fun and also the solidarity, that this year has an important role with “Jump! For life”, a marathon of jumps on trampolines against the poverty in the world.

As regards the entertainment, the women’s volleyball tournament offers a lot of fun for children and adults. At the Beach Volley School children can play volleyball twice daily with the best volleyball players as teachers. Adults can compete in amateur tournaments on the burning sand of Bibione, trying to emulate the athletes, or they can spend an intense fitness afternoon in the Village. A very peculiar fitness, the Walkexercise with mechanical and not electric treadmills. Who is tired of being under the beach umbrella, can try this new sport. The physical exercise is ensured!

The fun does not stop: music, a lot of stands rich in gadgets and good and fresh Chiquita milk shakes, but especially the evening show with the comic actors of Zelig, the famous TV programme, in the Bibione Beach Arena. Thanks to its central position, all tourists can easily reach the Arena with the public transportation from their hotels or apartaments in Bibione to enjoy both the funny evening and the volley matches during the week end.

Junior ParkVolley in Bibione

Bibione get ready for the long weekend of the 1st May with the Junior ParkVolley Trophy 2009.

The third volleyball championship for young people will take place in May, from the 1st to the 3rd, in the city tennis centre. For this occasion, the sport centre will provide a lot of volleyball fields on the grass, located few walk steps from the beach of Bibione and in the green pine wood. A perfect place to do sport.

All young volleyball players from 6 to 16 years old of schools and sports clubs can take part in this special event with their trainers and parents, that take advantage of the championship for a long beach holiday week end. Last year more than 2000 athletes took part in the volleyball trophy and with their families thronged hotels and apartments of Bibione that developed different special offers to favour the sports and beach holiday.

The Trophy joins the sport with the fun: in addition to the welcome party on Friday evening and to the closing party on Sunday, all athletes and trainers have the chance to enter in the spa with a special discount and so enjoy heated swimming pools with whirlpools, saunas and massages. During the breaks between a training and a match, children and parents can spend some time on the beach in Bibione or go shopping in the city centre and eat an ice cream.

The matches of the trophy will take place May, Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd, but the arrival in Bibione of the volleyball players is forecast for April, Thursday the 30th. In addition to the medals for the top three, is the prize also the Junior ParkVolley Trophy 2009. This trophy will be awarded to the team that will have the best placings in the last stages.

But all participants will get a very important prize: a special week end of sport, fun and holiday on the beach in Bibione.

Fireworks in Bibione

On December 31st Bibione greeted the arrival of the New Year with dinners, parties to the streets and in the discos and pubs and with a lot of toasts. In a cold night, in which dropped also some snow flakes, the seaside resort livened up as during the summer season.

The celebrations began already at 3.00 pm in the central Viale Aurora with the Children New Year’s Day, where clowns and cartoons amused the little guests until the arrival of Santa Claus with many gifts. After the rich dinners in the restaurants and in the Bibione hotels, a lot of people overflowed into the Piazza Copernico to drink a toast to the arrival of the 2009.

Thanks to the appeal of the New Year in Bibione, the beach hosted many tourists, who took advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a little holiday. Bibione offers resorts also in winter to spend a short holiday on the beach, thanks to the spa and to the proximity of the beautiful Venice. In this case tourists can spend a day visiting one of the most charming cities of the world, made more magic by the Christmas atmosphere. The first 2009 night gave everyone an unexpected snowfall, that covered of a thin white mantle the golden beach in few minutes, giving Bibione a magic and a very special aspect. The snow flakes didn’t stop tourists and inhabitants that overflowed into the central square for the colored fireworks.

Also this year, from the 1st to the 4th of Mai, will take place the trak event “A PIEDI PER BIBIONE” (Walking in Bibione), a course across the nature of our beautiful beach up to the lighthouse.

Bibione Beach Motor Race 2008

On the beach of Piazzale Zenith in Bibione, Sunday the 30th of March from the 10.30 has place the Alpe Adria national Beach Motor Race 2008. 3 hours of competition that is preceded from the quad competition.
