Bibione sponsors the bycicle team Liquigas
Franco Pellizzotti of Liquigas bycicle team
During the 2008 Bibione will sponsor the bycicle team Liquigas, that is leader in the national and international bycicle panorama. The last year Liquigas won the Giro d’Italia and the Liegi-Bastogne-Liegi with Danilo Di Luca, placing second in the Pro Tour ranking.
With this sponsorship Bibione bound its name to a team and a sport that are always in the heart of the people and the city wants enforce its love for a famous city dweller. Franco Pellizzotti, the Dauphin of Bibione, is one of the leading rider of Liquigas and he lived here until few time ago.
Bibione has been always close the cycling and its beautiful beach has been several times one of the stages of the Giro d’Italia.
