January 5th closes officially the celebrations for the Christmas period even in Bibione.

The last event that can draws many people before the start of the summer season, is the big bonfire on the beach of Bibione, that will be lit at 6.00 p.m.

This evening will be also an event to live again a hearty moment all together, because the bonfire will be added by a barbecue and excellent wines. Here everybody can keep warm around the fire and refuel with a good grilled meat, while children can run on the sand and explode the last firecrackers.

During this event, that joins the sacred rites of the Epiphany with the secular rites regarding nature and the arrival of Befana, there will be the blessing of bonfire, of the sea of Bibione, of fruit and salt. The sea’s blessing is a very important moment for the community of Bibione, because thanks to this natural element and the beautiful sandy beach, the city has born, grown and now continue to prosper over the years.

At the end of all Epiphany’s rituals, the beach and the sea of Bibione will be illuminated by fireworks, last event to say goodbye to the Christmas holidays and departure point for the new working season. The events continues then with the New Year’s Eve: from 6.00 p.m. of 31st December Viale Aurora will be livened up by the best music of DJs, awaiting the fateful countdown and the toast in the square.

After that there is the Epiphany. During this day the beach and the sea of Bibione will be among the protagonists, because there will be the blessing of the bonfire on the beach, of the sea, of the fruit and of the salt.

At this point, we must wait only the arrival of the summer to have the possibility to spend the holiday in Bibione.

The fitness village will have six stages set up directly on the beach of Bibione, each of which will host a different fitness class with most popular teachers. As every year the quality of teaching is very high, thanks to the enrolment of presenters of international level.

Among the novelties of this year, the Bibione Beach Fitness will present a space dedicated to the urban style dance: hip hop, ragga jam, popping-locking, dance-hall and R&B. All guided by teachers who have brought these styles of dancing, and often of life, in the limelight. Sure this new stage will welcome many fans of these styles of dancing and it will be a very good work experience for all those that wish to perfect their dance steps.

The second new concerns some sports already known and played, but that are enhanced with new methods and techniques and made more fun through the interaction and the involvement of the entire work group.

The indoor cycling becomes Group Cycling, Italian novelty, with the involvement in the class of the entire group, making it a very fun. As for the Walkexercise, there will be new exercise and routines to do on the treadmill, that is no more only a platform on which to run or to walk, but it becomes a real gym equipment that reveals all its potential. Wednesday, August the 10th, in Bibione Lido dei Pini there will be a very special fashion show, dedicated to our furry friends who accompany us on holiday. In fact is time for the event “Four-legged on the catwalk”, the parade of a selection of the most beautiful dog breeds, that had already been proposed the last summer and also in July this year on the beach of Bibione.

Starting from 9.00 p.m. the beautiful dogs will be in the spotlight, happy and excited to be admired by all the public, children especially.

With this event, Bibione is once again a beach with a special care towards pets, that increasingly accompany tourists on holiday. Every summer, a greater number of hotels and apartments in Bibione opens the doors to dogs and pets in general, often offering the free stay.

And from the last year is active the “Spiaggia di Pluto”, a wide stretch of beach super-equipped for dogs and their masters, that won last summer the first prize as best Italian beach for four-legged.

This year, from May the 1st to September, the 30th, the “Spiaggia di Pluto” is open and already during the early months of the year it registered many reservations of beach umbrellas, ensuring in this way a place to their dogs in this beautiful beach of Bibione. Basketball for children and for players in Bibione

This Sunday, 10th of July, has gone on stage in Bibione the last act of the beloved Bibione Basket Camp.

The camp for all young basketball fans also took place this summer in three turns, each lasting one week, with beginning in June 19th. As always the meeting is open to boys and girls aged 8 to 17, which can deepen the basketball or also begin to know and practice this sport in a beautiful and healthy place like the beach of Bibione.

All participants are followed by a technical staff trained not only to teach the basic techniques of basketball, but also the value of sport in like, the friendship and ready also to become funny entertainers for the amusement of children. This experience had had a great success from the first year, because it allowed participant to learn while having fun in a natural environment like Bibione, outside of places traditionally used for sports such as arenas and gymnasiums.

In fact, lessons take place in a sports arena surrounded by greenery in Bibione Pineda with four basketball courts and a very large indoor gym, useful in case of downpours and bad weather. In addition this sport facility offers also tennis, volleyball and beach volley courts, soccer fields and for the relaxation there are available cafés, beach umbrellas, deck chairs, sun beds and much more.

But Bibione Basketball Camp is not only lesson and training, it is also a lot of fun!

In fact, after lessons, boys and girls can relax and have fun on the beach or in swimming pool, always under the watchful eye of teachers. While the evening they can walk in city centre of Bibione, go to Luna Park and take part in the animation of the village where they stay. Also the camp participants enjoy different reductions for the pools in Bibione Spa and a day is completely for the fun in water park in Aquasplash in Lignano Sabbiadoro.

The Bibione Basket Camp is one of the many sporting events taking place in the Venetian beach.

In fact, of the same circuit are part Bibione Beach Fitness that will be held from 9th to 11th September and attracts hundreds of fitness enthusiasts, the Beach Rugby Festival, which took place Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of June with a large public, the Meeting of Football with two appointments, the first in early June and the second this week end of July, and the last festival concerns Beach Volley, the summer sport of Bibione.

Beach volleyball has become so famous and important, to propose a number of festivals throughout the summer for professionals, amateurs and children who begin to practice it. The most famous and exciting event is the Beach Volley Marathon: three appointments, end of May, early June and early September, with hundreds of volleyball players and thousands of fans and enthusiasts. The Trophy Beach&Ball takes place this week and it is for boys and girls aged 9 to 19 years, making part of volleyball sports associations and schools. For children, aged 6 to 16 years, there is Park Volley Junior, a volleyball tournament of a weekend in April.

And again: training camp of volleyball and beach volleyball from May to September, beach volleyball summer school with prepared teachers and educational sports trips for students. In this case, classes or entire schools can take part in this sports trip in Bibione during the months of May and September.

The program is being developed, but you already know that Saturday is the time of the race SuperMareCross included within the international championships in Italy, while on Sunday there will be the national race 3 hours in couple and marathon.

And precisely this type of race will give great performance with drivers who for 3 hours will race in pairs on a completely sandy racetrack. After a short stop, there will be no more teams because each driver will race for their personal victory in the marathon competition and at the end of the day will be decided the winners of the pairs’ and marathon’s competition.

As for the race on Saturday, many fans are hoping that also this year the race will be held at night like the last year. This news has attracted many visitors in Bibione last year, that from the central Piazzale Zenith were able to admire the power of the motorcycles and the skill of the drivers.

For both days there will be possible to watch the races from the square in city centre, because racetracks will be organized in the stretch of beach in front of the square. This choice was dictated to offer more space to the public but also to the pilots and their teams, so they can organize themselves in the best possible way.

Organizers estimated that even this year Bibione Beach Motor Race will have hundreds of accessions of drivers coming from all over Italy and, consequently, the audience will be very large, coming not only from the peninsula, but also from neighbouring foreign countries. The event is reaching an even greater importance, so much that even in case of bad weather as in 2009 are not missing drivers and spectators, who supported for both days.
